Every pickup is built with the highest quality components and in small batches to insure the absolute best results. All coils are wound by hand guiding the wire onto a bobbin spun by machine. By paying close attention to the details and building pickups with the same care and passion as the legends themselves who invented them, Pegcity Pickups will provide you with the tonal foundation that will deliver years of love and enjoyment on your guitar journey.

Yet another great set of pups by Kris! I opted for the Alnico 2 magnet for a more vintage low output sound, and they’re great!
Finally got these installed and what a sound. The guitar tech that did the install was quite impressed with the build quality. If you're looking for something other than the usual boring emg or seymour Duncan's I highly recommend these.
I received these pickups from Pegcity about a month ago and they’re absolutely top notch. I was looking for something to replace the 498/490 combo in my Les Paul Custom, and I wanted something a little more vintage output and these absolutely nailed it. Super dynamic and responsive to pick attack, really smooth top end and creamy mids, but it’ll give you bite and bark if you push them. Overall very pleased, I’ve played the Duncan Antiquities and the Gibson Custom shop PAF pickups, and this pickup holds its own with them and then some. Very please with the service and products

This isn’t my first set of PegCity’s…I have never been disappointed with any of their pickups - and these are no different.
They have so much clarity and fullness to them - not only can I dial in the clear trebles on the neck, but because I also wired the neck pickup directly to the Jack, blending the two Tele pickups (with tone still on the bridge) gives me huge range - I rarely pick up anything other than this for my single pickup’d guitars. It pretty much does it all…not bad for a Tele…with lots of volume too!
Bought these to replace the pickups in my Squier VM Jaguar as the factory bridge pickup is too hot to get that clean, glassy surf sound. These nail the sound I was looking for, nice bright treble, smooth scooped mids, strong bass. Would highly recommend!
I ordered a pair of 10% overwind pickups for my jazz bass. The bass sounds great overall. Both pickups have a wonderful jazz bass sound.
Top build quality excellent clarity, balance and tone. I put these in an MJT/Musikraft Tele partscaster build. I will be selling my USA fender tele which does not come close. Not as bright as what I expected in the bridge (I think most would welcome that). Will definitely try some of Kris's other pickups on my next build. Very happy with purchase and experience.
Build quality is top notch. Sound is crisp and clear, but can do dirty real nice too!
Pairs very well with the peg city p90 already in my tele’s neck. This is now my number one guitar for gigging and session work, the bridge pickup can go from vintage rock to country to indie on a dime!
The TC-204 pickups are a higher output and have a real nice edge to them. A bright sound that cuts through with clarity. Both pickups are equally matched and give a balanced middle position. Outstanding work Kris!!!
The pickup rating was spot on! Construction of the pickups is solid and as described!! The sound is classic to the originals and a true clear voice. Responsive and touch sensitive, they perform amazingly!!! Thank you so much!!

Both the bridge and neck pickups are articulate and well defined. Great for their namesake Mississippi, slow blues and jazz.
Pushed with some overdrive or a tube screamer puts you into the rock realm with ease. Coil splitting ( with a 5K resistor )works well and will get you that tele twang when needed although don't expect a true single coil sound, no split humbucker will give you that.
All that and the fact that they look great !!
Kris and I decided on the Private Stock bridge pickup for a custom built guitar from luthier Steve J. Mash. Sort of a Melody Maker shape with a 25" scale, humbucker in bridge, tulipwood body, maple neck. The Private Stock bridge is a very versatile, dynamic pickup usable in a range of styles. Chose a black uncovered pickup, I'm most pleased with its versatility.
This is paired with a custom neck pickup, a unique design from Pegcity. To match the timbre, no hum, and power of the bridge, Kris built a stacked magnet single-coil sized design for this position. So, it's noiseless and pairs super well with bridge.
A great solution and a wide range of sounds available c/o a basic 1 volume, 1 tone, and a 3-way switch.

Rewinds/Repairs
Free estimates on repairs. Rewind prices will very. Single coil pickups will range from $45-$60 depending on the style and work involved.
Humbuckers will range from $60-$90 dollars.
For basic repairs (when not rewinding) Price is $30/hr shop rate plus $10 flat rate for materials. All pickups are rewound and repaired with period correct materials in order to bring them back to their original state maybe even better :) For information on your repairs and how we can assist you please email kris@pegcitypickups.com

Alnico bar magnets
We have Alnico bar magnets available for purchase separately. These are for those players looking to alter the frequency response of a current pickup or for those looking to try something new all together.
Coli split or Partial split and which one to use.
Due to the demand for tonal flexibility. Wiring humbuckers to split the coils in an attempt to achieve a single coil tone has become the standard. The truth is a humbucker with lower output (below 10.0k) when split can produce a weaker sound thats lower in volume. By adding a small resistor into the circuit inline with the wire that links the splitting pot to the ground, will allow some of the signal from the split coil to leak through boosting the overall signal just enough. The partial split will result in a very comparative single coil tone that retains its volume and presence. We recommend this mod for lower output humbuckers but it is not absolutely necessary. Look for it in the addons tab on the humbucker pages.
