Our Classic 59’s are a faithful recreation of the old late 50’s P.A.F style humbucker. With these I pay homage to the pickup that kickstarted a rock and roll revolution. The PAF lent itself well to all musical styles but has it roots in rock and blues. The Classic 59's are and amazing choice either way you look at it. These guys are guaranteed to bring you back to the very roots of the humbucker tone.

Bobbins are made from Butyrate to PAF design specs
Wound with 42awg Plain Enamel wire
Output: Neck 7.4k, Bridge 8.2k
Spacing: Neck 49.2mm, Bridge 49.2mm
Magnet: For the 59’s we like the Alnico 4. It provides a balanced EQ, with amazing dynamic range and sensitivity to how you play. The neck has a nice warm vintage vibe. The bridge is strong, clear and tight. Exactly what you can expect from a PAF era pickup.
Wax potting is not done to these pickups. Screws and springs supplied with pickups.
IMPORTANT: These are period correct builds, the baseplates are long leg and may not fit in all guitars without some minor modification to the instrument. Please be aware of this before ordering.

I understand that tone is mostly in the fingers, but I knew that the burst buckers in my 335 just weren’t cutting it. I’d heard great things about Pegcity so I decided to go with the classic 59s. I watch a lot of Tom Bukovac so I have an idea of what PAFs are supposed to sound like. These are the ones! Exactly what I was after: sweet, clear, very dynamic. I never understood what true string clarity was, hitting a chord and hearing all the notes, as well as all the new sweet spots hidden away in the volume and tone pots. Clean, dirty, or effects, so much more guitar here now.
And to top it off, there was a mixup with the delivery company. Not Kris’ fault but he made after hours calls regardless, and had it sorted out right away.
For the price, I am ridiculously happy with my choice to go with Pegcity. This will not be my last purchase from them!
I recently ordered and installed a set of Classic 59's in my Les Paul and I'm glad I did! Such an improvement from the Burstbucker Pros that were in there. The Classic 59's sound much more open and alive and have really elevated my guitar to another level and they look great too! The customer service and ordering process also exceeded my expectations. Just installed a set of Classic 59’s into an Epiphone Sheraton ii. What an upgrade! These pickups look and sound incredible! When chording there is remarkable note clarity across all the strings and single notes sing and cut through the mix. They are also very pick sensitive and clean up nicely when the volume is rolled back. I’ve always liked this guitar but now I love it, it just sounds huge! Thanks Kris! Forget Seymour and forget Larry Dimarzio for a second. I've got Duncan '59s (that I love) sitting in their boxes in favour of these Classic '59s from Peg City. Incredible customization options that passed the wife's 'holy crap those look cool' test with flying colours. I bought a set of Peg City 2-Stroke humbuckers off Reverb a year or so ago and love them so much I wanted to try the '59s. Love those and have just ordered a set of Angry Widows to try. I'm sitting in a mound of world class pickups because I'm replacing everything I have with a variety of Peg City's offerings. My praise of any product doesn't get higher than that.
