Pegcity Classic 59’s (PAF reproduction)

I recently purchased a set of Classic 59 pickups with the A4 magnets which sounded really good but were not exactly the tone I was chasing. They sounded good enough that I was hesitant to change anything about them but finally decided to change the magnets to A2 and voila for my taste now they are perfect especially the bridge. Great pickups.

I received these pickups from Pegcity about a month ago and they’re absolutely top notch. I was looking for something to replace the 498/490 combo in my Les Paul Custom, and I wanted something a little more vintage output and these absolutely nailed it. Super dynamic and responsive to pick attack, really smooth top end and creamy mids, but it’ll give you bite and bark if you push them. Overall very pleased, I’ve played the Duncan Antiquities and the Gibson Custom shop PAF pickups, and this pickup holds its own with them and then some. Very please with the service and products

I see no reason to ever buy anything but peg city PUPs. so creamy and downright nasty when you need it. the best pups ive tried, and the best price. i will be doing a strat build soon, cant wait to get to see what there like. keep up the great work guys!!

I understand that tone is mostly in the fingers, but I knew that the burst buckers in my 335 just weren’t cutting it. I’d heard great things about Pegcity so I decided to go with the classic 59s. I watch a lot of Tom Bukovac so I have an idea of what PAFs are supposed to sound like. These are the ones! Exactly what I was after: sweet, clear, very dynamic. I never understood what true string clarity was, hitting a chord and hearing all the notes, as well as all the new sweet spots hidden away in the volume and tone pots. Clean, dirty, or effects, so much more guitar here now.
And to top it off, there was a mixup with the delivery company. Not Kris’ fault but he made after hours calls regardless, and had it sorted out right away.
For the price, I am ridiculously happy with my choice to go with Pegcity. This will not be my last purchase from them!

I recently ordered and installed a set of Classic 59's in my Les Paul and I'm glad I did! Such an improvement from the Burstbucker Pros that were in there. The Classic 59's sound much more open and alive and have really elevated my guitar to another level and they look great too! The customer service and ordering process also exceeded my expectations. I will definitely recommend Pegcity to anyone looking for aftermarket pickups!
