This is a unique set with a unique tonal blend. Boasting a slightly higher output overall, and a great mixture of different magnet types, we deliver a set that will provide a smooth, articulate, dynamic and responsive. The bridge is a hotter coil with alnico 2 magnets, lows are a bit warmer, the highs are smooth and not too bright. The middle pickup is about .5k cooler with alnico 3 magnets. lows are similar to the bridge pickup but warmer by nature of its position on the guitar. Highs are brighter up top but smooth, not harsh or sharp. The neck pickup is even lower output using alnico 4 magnet. With a more balanced eq, you can expect a warm and full sounding pickup with tighter lows and more midrange presence. The highs are just bright enough and very clear.

For those that are looking for a large range of tonal flexibility, capable of any musical genre and play style this is the set that will absolutely deliver!!!

Suggested music styles for these pickups: It's very hard to place this set into any one or two categories,

Specs:

Bridge: Alnico 2, 7.2k output, steel inductance plate added

Middle: Alnico 3 6.7k output

Neck: Alnico 4 6.3k output

Very impressed The best yet

I didn’t know how well the combination of 3 different magnets would work BUT they sound amazing. By far my favourite set of single coils. Unbelievably clear and articulate sounding. They have magic. I let a friend play the guitar with them and he was blown away. He is a good player and guitar tech so that says a lot there. He said they sound like the magical 70s Strat he sold and has always regretted. Thanks again Kris. Btw these are my 3rd set of pickups from the master. Bob Biduke

Versatile and exquisite

These Red River Ramblers are a game changer for those looking to get a little more oooomph out of their guitar without sacrificing tone and clarity. They perform equally as well clean as they do overdriven. Crisp cleans, each note articulated and clear. They are sharp and pronounced and mellow out to a classic Strat sound when rolling off the tone knobs. Kick it in high gear with a little overdrive and they come alive, nice punch while holding clarity and not getting too muddy. These would suit almost any genre of playing.
