By way of grounding my opinion I own 3 Fender Telecasters and 7 Fender Strats, some with humbuckers.
I have installed a set of these Pegcity private stock humbuckers in a 2013 Fender Strat. The guitar previously had factory Fat 50s single coils. The pickups have changed the guitar for the better! I can’t get over how great they sound in all wired configurations . I am now enjoying both full, sweet humbucking tones and great, clear split coil tones in one guitar. The Fat 50s will not be going back in.

Dealing with Kris was a pleasure. He is a true professional generously making sure I was happy with my order.
Pegcity Pickups is highly recommended... you won’t be disappointed.

100% recommend them. I got the Angry Widow bridge pickup. It sounds great and looks great as a bonus.
Couple years back, i pieced together a stratocaster, after so long in the LP style camp. & At first, it sported some Dimarzio/Duncan combo which sounded good at the time. But these last years, i've upgraded most of my gear with lower output pickups, & well this strat didn't sound as great as i'd once heard. Too dull, muddy, not as clear as i'd need. Back & forth with Kris, decided on this set with staggered A5 poles, & the difference is sweet! I've never played a true vintage strat with low wind pickups, but i definitely love these - articulate, dynamic, & spanky. I'm a sucker for the N, N + M, M tones, bridge pickup's never been my thing, but this one sounds awesome. I did mount them with the wires pointing towards the neck, kinda pseudo Hendrix pole layout so the A string doesn't have a smuch pull vs the B string, & i find its very balanced with my 11-52 gauge of strings.
Highly Recommend, I'd be curious to test the VS-61 or Red River Rambler sets, but these Blues 54s deliver what you need, in clean, driven, & my own chaotic modulated mess :) Thanks again Kris, proud canadian hooked !
I never thought I'd ever be a single p90 guy, but this Alnico 3 p90 is just what I needed. I love it.
I added the private stock hums to my MJT thinline tele and they sound great, both as a humbucker and split in neck and bridge. Highly recommended
Kris and I decided on the Private Stock bridge pickup for a custom built guitar from luthier Steve J. Mash. Sort of a Melody Maker shape with a 25" scale, humbucker in bridge, tulipwood body, maple neck. The Private Stock bridge is a very versatile, dynamic pickup usable in a range of styles. Chose a black uncovered pickup, I'm most pleased with its versatility.
This is paired with a custom neck pickup, a unique design from Pegcity. To match the timbre, no hum, and power of the bridge, Kris built a stacked magnet single-coil sized design for this position. So, it's noiseless and pairs super well with bridge.
A great solution and a wide range of sounds available c/o a basic 1 volume, 1 tone, and a 3-way switch.
Just installed a set of Classic 59’s into an Epiphone Sheraton ii. What an upgrade! These pickups look and sound incredible! When chording there is remarkable note clarity across all the strings and single notes sing and cut through the mix. They are also very pick sensitive and clean up nicely when the volume is rolled back. I’ve always liked this guitar but now I love it, it just sounds huge! Thanks Kris! Great communication, easy to order, amazing build quality and fast shipping! I feel like I will be ordering a Peg City strat set in the future!
I recently added a Fatboy Special neck pickup to one of my main guitars, and was blown away by its clarity and silky smooth sound. On high gain its crystal clear and articulate, on clean it has a beautiful presence and projection. Highly suggested to anyone who values a well rounded, clean neck tone!
I've been playing guitar for 30yrs. Playing heavy metal for over 20yrs and I can honestly say I have never felt such a substantial difference in a pick up swap......until I installed a set of Widows. I replaced an EMG 81/85 set with Angry Widows and was instantly blown away by how organic, articulate and more defined my tone was. So then I swapped out a Seymour Duncan Full Shred and JB set for some Angry Widows and it was the same result, my tone took a step in the direction I wanted, but the EMGs and Duncan's just continually fell short no matter what combination. The support, sales and relationship I now have with Peg City is something you just can't get with big manufacturers. Don't think twice, you might miss out on your perfect tone
The Classic 59’s were an excellent set of pickups for my Les Paul kit build. They sound great! You get all of the tones and responsiveness you would expect from PAF. Highly recommend if you are looking to get that classic PAF sound without breaking the bank. I can't wait to start my next Pegcity pickup powered project!
