This is our high gain heavy saturation humbucker set. These high output coils are uniquely wound and powered by Alnico 8 magnets to deliver dynamic and clear note separation, remain tight in the low end for clear sound when picking fast or galloping, and the mids are full and balanced. Metal, doom, punk, hard rock, almost any style will sound great with a set of Widows. If you are in the need for some high output pickups you need not look any further. The Angry Widows are loud, in your face with a tonne of attitude. But they even have a softer side, providing classic sounding cleans with beautiful harmonics
A big thanks and much credit goes to Dusty “Roadz” Breton for his immense help with the final voicing and fine tuning of the Angry Widow humbuckers.

I bought a set of Angry Widows for my custom guitar built by Vigilant Guitars in Victoria, BC. I play mostly metalcore and hard rock. I like a pickup that is articulate, but punchy and screams with pinch harmonics. These pups do all of that and more. The bridge pickup chugs, but I was most impressed with the tone of the neck pickup for leads. Often with pickup sets I find that the neck pickup isn't clear enough. This is the first neck pickup that I've tried in a few years that blew me away. Thanks for the great quality and attention to detail, Kris!
I put a set of black Angry Widows in my NJ series Warlock and they sound amazing! Perfect for death metal, thrash, anything heavy. The chrome covers look awesome with black hardware. I upgraded the BC Rich tremolo to a Gotoh at the same time, and this has immediately become my favourite guitar. My only regret is not doing this sooner!
These pickups rip. The black chrome covers I added look awesome. The sounds are great. The smoothness of the neck maintains great articulation and the neck snarls and howls beautifully. The only gripe I have is incredibly minor, but I wish the pickup mounting screws had been black since I ordered black hardware. The screw shaft is smaller than the Duncan’s the Angry Widows replaced, so I could not use the original mounting screws. I thought it was worth mentioning but these are a five star product regardless
Don’t usually leave reviews but had to today after hearing my guitar.
I recently swapped my active Fishman Fluence premium pick ups out of my Ibanez for a set of Peg City Angry Windows. To cut to the chase, best decision I’ve made for finding my own tone on guitar ever. The dynamic response and searing tone is exactly what my guitar needed. Very happy with the transition.
Was stalling writing a review before I had a chance to really play on a proper guitar rig. Today I had that chance and fell in love with my guitar all over. The response and voicing is fantastic. Crazy good pickups, super nice finish.
On top of a great product the support and knowledge coming from Kris to help me find my tone was over the top. Wicked product!
10 out of 10!
I love high out put bridge humbuckers. The lindy fralin in my iceman is almost too perfect. The dimarzio super distortion in my LP is where you get that amazing Van Halen sound, the bareknuckle warpig in my other LP is a full on assult of high output madness, the invader in my ML is heavy heavy heavy and now i have an Angry Widow in my Custom. It is high output, has that high output tone, but also has presence in the high end that makes solos shine. It does sound very crunchy, angry, it's fantastic. Where the lindy fralin sounds too perfect, the Angry widow has its own color, its own sound voicing. I absolutely love it. Very satisfied with my purchase, great customer service, 11 out of 11.
