This is my third set of pickups from Peg City, which probably says everything that needs to be said.
I've tried plenty of replacement pickups over the years, and these continue to impress. The P-Bass pickups deliver exactly what I want from a Precision Bass: strong fundamental notes, great punch, and a clear, balanced tone that sits perfectly in a mix. They have that classic P-Bass authority without sounding muddy or overly aggressive.
Build quality is excellent, installation was straightforward, and everything feels thoughtfully made. What I appreciate most is that they sound like a great P-Bass should sound, rather than trying to reinvent the wheel. Plenty of low-end weight, solid mids, and enough definition to let the character of the bass come through.
At this point I've purchased three sets of Peg City pickups for different instruments, and every experience has been positive. Great products, excellent value, and a Canadian builder that's easy to support.
