Bought a neck and middle pup to replace the stock pickups in a Godin Session, (bridge was already swapped). These are an incredible upgrade from the stock ferrite pickups and make this among the best sounding guitars that I own or have ever played. Clean, overdriven, volume on the guitar rolled off a bit; all sounds incredible, articulate, well defined and full sounding. Plays incredibly well on my Deluxe Reverb with a bit of boost and light overdrive.
Highly recommend, I will make Pegcity my first choice for pickup upgrades going forward.
Thrilled with my 1st Peg City purchase, a Superclutch set. I went with light purple bobbins and gold open top covers. I was going for a different look and got it. But the sound is where it’s really at, isn’t it? These pickups are amazing. I’m blown away at the clarity and string definition even at really high gain settings. Clean tones are brilliant too. The coil splitting is a very useable option. I have that on other guitars and never use it. The volume knob is your friend with these pickups. Just playing with that opens up tasty tones throughout its sweep. I’m a solid fan of Peg City, so happy I discovered them and look forward to my next guitar build or upgrade. Kris rocks!!

The magnets were nicely labeled and nicely packaged. I haven't had a chance to check if they made an improvement in tone yet.
From beginning to end I am very satisfied with the purchase of my Classic 59's. Custom shop quality right up there with the best I've tried. Kris was excellent to deal with, makes a great product, the value can't be beat and right in my backyard to boot!
Very happy with the 2-Stroke humbucker in the bridge of my HSS strat! First of all it looks absolutely beautiful with the raw nickel cover, and the sound is very versatile as described for really any style. After playing with my pickup heights a bit, it's well balanced with the low-medium output neck and middle pickups, and lots of room for adjustment depending on your flavour. The coil split bridge/middle position is a really solid 2nd position strat sound, and the bridge on it's own is definitely rockin', but can really pull off anything. I get a very satisfying americana/alt-country kind of sound from it, and it's just as home cranking out high gain metal riffs. Sound great through my Princeton Reverb Reissue '65 and also very impressed with the clarity and depth through my Neural DSP plugins. Very stoked to be able to support a Canadian builder - thanks and keep up the good work!
Kris and I decided on the Private Stock bridge pickup for a custom built guitar from luthier Steve J. Mash. Sort of a Melody Maker shape with a 25" scale, humbucker in bridge, tulipwood body, maple neck. The Private Stock bridge is a very versatile, dynamic pickup usable in a range of styles. Chose a black uncovered pickup, I'm most pleased with its versatility.
This is paired with a custom neck pickup, a unique design from Pegcity. To match the timbre, no hum, and power of the bridge, Kris built a stacked magnet single-coil sized design for this position. So, it's noiseless and pairs super well with bridge.
A great solution and a wide range of sounds available c/o a basic 1 volume, 1 tone, and a 3-way switch.

Classic 59’s
Just installed a set of Classic 59’s into an Epiphone Sheraton ii. What an upgrade! These pickups look and sound incredible! When chording there is remarkable note clarity across all the strings and single notes sing and cut through the mix. They are also very pick sensitive and clean up nicely when the volume is rolled back. I’ve always liked this guitar but now I love it, it just sounds huge! Thanks Kris! I recently added a Fatboy Special neck pickup to one of my main guitars, and was blown away by its clarity and silky smooth sound. On high gain its crystal clear and articulate, on clean it has a beautiful presence and projection. Highly suggested to anyone who values a well rounded, clean neck tone!

I've been playing guitar for 30yrs. Playing heavy metal for over 20yrs and I can honestly say I have never felt such a substantial difference in a pick up swap......until I installed a set of Widows. I replaced an EMG 81/85 set with Angry Widows and was instantly blown away by how organic, articulate and more defined my tone was. So then I swapped out a Seymour Duncan Full Shred and JB set for some Angry Widows and it was the same result, my tone took a step in the direction I wanted, but the EMGs and Duncan's just continually fell short no matter what combination. The support, sales and relationship I now have with Peg City is something you just can't get with big manufacturers. Don't think twice, you might miss out on your perfect tone

Love my new Classic 59’s
The Classic 59’s were an excellent set of pickups for my Les Paul kit build. They sound great! You get all of the tones and responsiveness you would expect from PAF. Highly recommend if you are looking to get that classic PAF sound without breaking the bank. I can't wait to start my next Pegcity pickup powered project!
