Finally got these installed and what a sound. The guitar tech that did the install was quite impressed with the build quality. If you're looking for something other than the usual boring emg or seymour Duncan's I highly recommend these.

PJ Set
I've had these installed for almost a year now and couldn't be happier with my tone. My project instrument finally feels complete after this last piece of the puzzle.
I did a total conversion on my old Ibanez swapping out the active 3 band EQ and stock pickup's for this set and passive electronics. Wow! My bass has that classic fender voicing but plays like an Ibanez.
Kris was very patient and helpful with my inquiries and even with making-to-order (around Christmas even) had them ready to go very quick.
My only regret is that I didn't leave a review sooner.

Private Stock bridge
Kris and I decided on the Private Stock bridge pickup for a custom built guitar from luthier Steve J. Mash. Sort of a Melody Maker shape with a 25" scale, humbucker in bridge, tulipwood body, maple neck. The Private Stock bridge is a very versatile, dynamic pickup usable in a range of styles. Chose a black uncovered pickup, I'm most pleased with its versatility.
This is paired with a custom neck pickup, a unique design from Pegcity. To match the timbre, no hum, and power of the bridge, Kris built a stacked magnet single-coil sized design for this position. So, it's noiseless and pairs super well with bridge.
A great solution and a wide range of sounds available c/o a basic 1 volume, 1 tone, and a 3-way switch.

Classic 59’s
Just installed a set of Classic 59’s into an Epiphone Sheraton ii. What an upgrade! These pickups look and sound incredible! When chording there is remarkable note clarity across all the strings and single notes sing and cut through the mix. They are also very pick sensitive and clean up nicely when the volume is rolled back. I’ve always liked this guitar but now I love it, it just sounds huge! Thanks Kris! Great communication, easy to order, amazing build quality and fast shipping! I feel like I will be ordering a Peg City strat set in the future!

Amazing in the neck position
I recently added a Fatboy Special neck pickup to one of my main guitars, and was blown away by its clarity and silky smooth sound. On high gain its crystal clear and articulate, on clean it has a beautiful presence and projection. Highly suggested to anyone who values a well rounded, clean neck tone!

Don't think twice, buy em!
I've been playing guitar for 30yrs. Playing heavy metal for over 20yrs and I can honestly say I have never felt such a substantial difference in a pick up swap......until I installed a set of Widows. I replaced an EMG 81/85 set with Angry Widows and was instantly blown away by how organic, articulate and more defined my tone was. So then I swapped out a Seymour Duncan Full Shred and JB set for some Angry Widows and it was the same result, my tone took a step in the direction I wanted, but the EMGs and Duncan's just continually fell short no matter what combination. The support, sales and relationship I now have with Peg City is something you just can't get with big manufacturers. Don't think twice, you might miss out on your perfect tone

Love my new Classic 59’s
The Classic 59’s were an excellent set of pickups for my Les Paul kit build. They sound great! You get all of the tones and responsiveness you would expect from PAF. Highly recommend if you are looking to get that classic PAF sound without breaking the bank. I can't wait to start my next Pegcity pickup powered project!
I've been swapping around pickups lately and trying some custom winding companies. I have an SG that's been through a lot of pickups now. Previously. my favourites were Gibson 57 Classics because I like the character of Alnico II and medium-low output. (had also just pulled out some Fishman Fluence Scott Lepage Pickups). I realized I needed to try some unpotted pickups because I was really missing that more open and harmonicaly rich top end. I had just bought some Sigil 59 Holy Grails. They were exactly what I was dreaming of. I liked them so much, I had to steal the neck pickup to put in my Tele. I thought I would try another reputable Canadian winder to replace the neck pickup to go with the 58 in the bridge. I saw the PegCity Pickups Sale and found the True North to be the PAF that fit the bill of Alnico2 and no potting. I was a little worried that the 7.7K output may be a bit more winds than I would want to match my 7.7K bridge pickup.
Thankfully, the True North came with and detailed info card. There was a some sort of mixup because the pickup came wax-potted and stated it measured 8.7K (but this was accurately documented on its info card). I contacted Kris and he immediately acknowledged that someone had made a mistake. He made another pickup with the correct specs and sent it out to me the very next day. Amazingly, it still arrived before Christmas! Absolutely awesome customer service. He was so quick to make things right and make sure I got exactly what I had ordered.
It honestly matches so well with my other custom pickup and sounds so harmonically rich, detailed, open and dynamic. Great chime and cleans up so well with 50s wiring.
It's a beautiful pickup. I think there deserves to be a low-wind version set as well... Like Lollar does for his Imperials. (maybe somewhere around 6.9-7.3K)
But yeah, I've been through alot of humbuckers (probably way too many), and this is the best this guitar has ever sounded. I can't wait to try it with my other amps that aren't at home right now...
Wonderful! The Private Stock pickup turned a good guitar into a great guitar. So much more sing and clarity. Looking forward to road-testing. Thanks Kris!
I actually expected to get staggered poles on this middle strat pickup, but was delighted to discover that the flush poles that I ended up with have a better balance and volume than my bridge and neck pickups. Also, to my ears the wax potting adds thickness to the sound that my other pickups lack. They are SD vintage strat pups.
So bottom line the Pegcity pup sounds thicker and has such great tone that I have ordered the bridge and neck pups to complete the set. Very solid construction and great sound!
